More than just a brilliant idea, it was necessary to set up a company and a network to promote the concept, listen to their customers and continue to develop their products to reach a complete range of lighting, decor and signage solutions.

Today, Airstar continues to rely on international expansion and innovation to move forward. These 2 axes are part of Airstar's DNA. The company was born of an innovation and has been able to develop thanks to its international presence. In 2024, it still perform on every continent, responding to specific reqests and meeting the challenges set by customers.

Nowaday, Airstar has 22 offices in 13 countries, 2 production sites in Europe and the USA and 125 employees worldwide. It's an unprecedented structure for an SME of this size, but isn't it another mark of innovation.

Airstar's history

Airstar was founded in 1994. Its two original employees were immediately able to invest in international markets, giving the company its main characteristic: an open mind en an international vision.

An innovative company

In 2003, Siemens recognised Airstar as an innovative and quality company when it launched a new balloon, the Pixocom. As a reward of 12 years' work innovation, Pierre Chabert was voted Man of the Year by the Grenoble and Isère Press Club in 2006, confirming that Airstar is a company you can trust.

Products at the cutting edge of technology

These days, there is still so much to be done. Being as close as possible to their customers and their needs, Airstar is working to become the most reliable partner in achieving the objectives of lighting, projection and any other application of inflatable products. Airstar continues to create and develop products at the cutting edge of technology, intoducting a new product every 5 months and constantly impoving existing ones. Airstar's expertise is unique. Airstar prides itself on designing not only lighting balloons, but also turnkey products and providing solutions to our customers various challenges.

This year for example, Prolutech and Airstar co-created the Tech-Light range of balloons. These balloons are branded for Prolutech and produced in Grenoble among the other Airstars products. A major milestone has been reached and our commercial relationship is mode secure than ever.

A global brand

Today, Airstar is represented by more than 120 distributors and 13 subsidiaries in over 40 countries around the world. Thanks to the creativity and the vision of its founders, their knowledge of the needs of different markets and significant investment in R&D, Airstar has been able to meet the demands of hundred of professional customers, including some of the most demanding in their respective markets : like James Cameron for the movie Titanic, who was the first major customer, but also Audi, BMW, Disneyland, the American army, the French fire brigade, lifeguards, Dior, Schneider, Quiksilver, etc. 

Airstar balloons for all kinds of events 

From the filming of Titanic to the construction of the Seoul metro, from the opening ceremony of Sydney Olympic to the needs of the rescue workers at Ground Zero in New York on September 11, 2001, Airstar balloons can be seen all over the world, offering a service that is equal to the challenge.

Airstar lighting manufacturer

Today, Airstar's head office and manufacturing site in Champ Près Froges, Grenoble (38) France, has grown to include 48 employees. With over 15 product lines, a high-performance production facility and skilled, qualified employees, Airstar is able to produce and distribute inflatables (mainly illuminated balloons) that perfectly meet the needs of cutomers around the world. Airstar is not just a lighting manufacturer. Our vocation has always been to provide the best possible products.
